LIFEXTEND WARRANTY PROGRAM
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The LifeXtend Warranty Contract provides repairs to your newly purchased product if found defective during the term of two (2) or three (3) years from purchase date inclusive of the manufacturer's original written warranty period. The term will be based on your selected plan and will be recorded on the Sales Invoice.

The coverage is for mechanical and electrical defects to the extent provided by the manufacturer's written warranty and valid for use only in the Philippines and purchased as new. Products are limited to domestic and personal use only. Office products such as facsimile machines, copiers, scanners, printers and computers are covered for office domestic and personal use. The optical laser pickup lens on HI-FI products shall only be replaced once and only once during the term of this contract.

When the product failure occurs due to an electrical or mechanical defect, you must call the Extended Warranty Hotline at (632) 878 5433 or PLDT toll free 1-800-1-888-3388 or Globe Toll Free 1-800-8-888-3388 during office hours and our experienced Customer Service Representatives will assist in meeting your service needs. The repair may not be approved if the failure is not reported prior to any repair or the repair was performed by a non-authorized LifeXtend repairer.

We have an option to repair or replace the covered product with like kind, quality and specifications. The contract will automatically terminate in the event that the covered product is replaced or repossessed.

The LifeXtend Warranty Contract is not an Insurance Policy or Guarantee; it is a service contract. This contract is not a guarantee or promise relating to the nature of the material, workmanship or performance of your Product covered by the Contract.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE
Mechanical and electrical defects caused by accidental damage is covered and limited to Pocket Electronics (herein defined as PDA, MP3 Player) and Digital Camera only.

Accidental Damage coverage shall commence upon purchase date of the product and will end upon the expiration of the Extended Warranty period.

RECORD KEEPING
Although we maintain a record of your contract, we recommend that you place these documents in a safe place. For all repairs, the sales invoice and Extended Warranty certificate information must be presented to the Customer Service Representative.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY

The total value of all repairs and/or replacement made to your product shall not exceed the retail purchase price paid for your product. Under no circumstances shall coverage extend to any loss or damage to a person or property for any incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages.

EXCLUSIONS FROM COVERAGE

  • Products that are still covered by the manufacturer's original warranty, repairer's warranty or any other warranty in effect.
  • Products with removed or altered serial number are not covered.
  • Any defects that are subject to manufacturer's recalls.
  • Manufacturer's recommended routine maintenance, inspection, cleaning, lubrication, external adjustments.
  • Non-operating and cosmetic items, paint, color, or product finish; accessories used in or with the eligible product; audio and video heads or drums; external cables and cords; glass and lens; add on options incorporated; unauthorized modifications made to the product; failure to follow manufacturer's installation, operation or maintenance instructions and any item not affecting the product's function.
  • Software (including operating system and stored data), defects resulting directly from software installation and or removal, computer virus, virus prevention, and other peripherals. Repairs to hardware that has been added after the product's original purchase
  • Consumables such as cleaner belts, batteries, ribbons, toner, ink cartridges, printer heads, stylus, bulbs, tapes, compact discs, digital video discs, etc
  • External faults such as wiring, electrical connection or plumbing, realigning of signal receivers (poor receptions) and consequential loss of any kind.
  • Repairs necessitated by accidental or intentional physical damage, burglary, theft, spilled liquids, corrosion, animal infestation, misuse, abuse or damage caused by non-authorized repair personnel.
  • Diagnosis where no defect has been found or noted.
  • Defects and on-site service charges not covered under the manufacturer's primary written warranty
  • Transportation, shipping or delivery charges, express service charges, transportation damage, removal or reinstallation of the product, products on loan during repair process
  • Repairs where prior authorization has not been obtained.
  • Commercial use, rental, use for profits or products transferred to retail outlets.

 

TRANSFER OF WARRANTY TO SECOND OWNER

If you sell your product to another customer within the warranty period, you must call the Warranty Hotline within 15 days to transfer the LifeXtend Warrranty. It is also important to report your new address in the event that you move and take the covered product(s) with you.

CANCELLATION

LifeXtend reserves the right to cancel this Extended Warranty Agreement based on the discovery of fraud or material misrepresentation, If the customer disposes of the product, other than by sale or transfer of ownership, during the term of this agreement, coverage will cease.
